Samuel Bermúdez Jiménez

Don Samuel Bermúdez Jiménez, Son of Don Mariano Bermúdez and María Jiménez, was born on April 7, 1924, in San José. He consolidated in his youth in a Costa Rican society as a man with great business success. Visionary of the Radiocommunication, gave impulse in Costa Rica to stations so remembered as Radio Libertad, La Gigante of Central America and later, it generated the platform for many other new stations. At the age of 50, he founded the Ciudadelas de Libertad Foundation, an entity with a social purpose, not for profit, to which he donated all his assets to bring progress to society through Culture and Education.

Many Young people have graduated professionally by the support of a noble man formed of great principles and values ​​in the home of the Bermúdez Jiménez Family. Don Samuel, stopped doing the ordinary to foster positive differences in the quality of life of a people.

Without freedom there is no life, wrote Don Samuel, today 26 years after his death, we remember his life work and we celebrate the existence of his Foundation that at 37 years flourishes and is shaping towards more human achievements.
